Rework Technician
**Job Title: Rework Technician - 2nd Shift or Weekend Shift** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Rework Technician for our 2nd shift, with a $4 differential for weekend shifts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the rework of printed circuit boards, ensuring adherence to quality and safety guidelines, and maintaining detailed records in our quality system. **Responsibilities** + Perform rework of printed circuit boards using tools such as tweezers, solder extractor, solder iron, hot air pencil, and hot air reflow. + Check foot straps for ESD compliance as needed. + Follow ISO process sheet for operations. + Adhere to all quality and safety guidelines. + Participate in performance feedback. + Use visual aids to rework boards. + Maintain detailed records in the quality system, including parts tracking, defect locations, and specific issues with the boards. + Enter scrap information into the quality system. + Perform additional duties as necessary. + Conduct patent trace repair and BGA. + Continuously inspect products/objects/materials and make simple planning and decision-making. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in soldering and reworking printed circuit boards. + Experience with quality assurance and electronic repair. + Knowledge of IPC-610 standards. + Ability to read and follow production processes. + Detail-oriented with the ability to solder precisely. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of quality procedures. + Prior experience in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) preferred. + Understanding of safety policies. + Ability to keep department records as needed. + Willingness to cross-train into other production positions. + Ability to successfully complete position certification course (IPC-610 Certification). **Work Environment** You will be working in a climate-controlled production floor that includes electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, SMT, and other related areas. The environment is designed to ensure comfort and safety for all employees. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, Florida. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
