Description

The Mobile Solutions Connectivity team in Ottawa which develops wireless integrated circuit components has a RF Application Engineering Co-Op opportunity available for a 12 month period starting from May 2025. 
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Application Engineering Manager. The ideal student will be required to apply sound engineering skills to a variety of tasks in the area of WiFi / connectivity RF device evaluation, customer board tuning and testing including PA, LNA and switch high frequency RF products.

Responsibilities Assisting application engineers with their customer support activities. Validating new integrated circuits and module products. Lab testing of RF circuits, presenting test results, and participating in customer SCH/Layout reviews. Working on small projects and task assignments of various degrees of complexity, ranging from device characterization, test environment programming, and documentation. Required Experience and Skills Candidate must be currently enrolled in a BS or MS Electrical Engineering (or related) degree program. Familiar with fundamental electronic circuits and principles. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PPT, and Word) and having an aptitude for quickly learning other company-specific software. Having basic knowledge of RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, NF Good communication, organization, and documentation skills. Willing to work in a lab hands-on environment. Desired Experience and Skills Experience in using test equipment and tools such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources, and soldering tools is preferred

The typical pay range for an intern is currently CAD $25.00 - $44.00 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on level of education and the ultimate job duties and requirements.
