Position OverviewQinetiQ US is seeking a Radio Frequency and Communications Engineer to support technical projects utilizing various communications waveforms for a government client. The highly motivated candidate will provide their subject matter expertise in RF through knowledge, experience, and their ability to effectively provide SME support for an emerging rapid prototyping project. The candidate will provide systems engineering supporting in radio frequency communication systems, including their design, operation, and troubleshooting within military or satellite communications.
Responsibilities Provide subject matter expertise in Radio Frequency (RF) communications systems including their design, operations, and troubleshooting within military and/or satellite communication systems. Candidates should be able to apply their systems engineering expertise to inform a program office's decision on the design and integration of hardware into a rapid prototyping capability. RF Communication systems engineering would be expected to: Participate in tailored system engineering reviews contributing to recommendations to vendors and program office PMs on design decisions during critical reviews such as SRR, PDRs and CDRs. Coordinate and document results, review systems engineering plans from vendors and validate system engineering approaches, performance and concepts presented Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings, reports, and summary papers; explain complex concepts in relatively simple language; summarize key decisions; and provide recommendations supported by analysis.Research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for a DoD Rapid Prototyping capability with various vendors across disparate locations. Develop test and engineering plans for execution in coordination with vendors and mission partners to execute test and evaluation of RF Comms solutions Employ knowledge of electrical theory. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts in RF engineering. Special projects as desired Required Qualifications TS/SCI-Eligible with CI POLY - Currently hold an active TS/SCI or have held an SCI and have been debriefed in the last 24 months and hold an active CI POLY #qinetiqclearedjobBachelors in Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science or ScienceMinimum of 15 years of program management, operational, and analytical experienceExperience with various waveform development and implementationProficient in program management, systems engineering, and an in-depth knowledge of one or more of the following: (1) Long range fires; (2) Data science, artificial intelligence, deep learning systems, Autonomous systems; (3) Long range weapon kill chains; (4) Communications, networking, inter-networking in communications denied environments; (5) CyberProficient in MS PowerPoint, excel and/or other equivalent program management tools.Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and be independently motivated.Travel up to 25% of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations (Alaska, Hawaii, UK and EUROPE) Preferred Qualifications Acquisition or government program management experience highly desiredExperience in Special Access Programs (SAPs)Master’s degree Company EEO Statement
