Effector RF Products is responsible for designing RF and Microwave hardware, including transmitters, receivers, and exciters.  This includes design and test activities that span preliminary design to integration.  Products we develop support radar and datalink applications on a variety of tactical missile programs.  Critical to this role is designing for challenging mechanical constraints and extreme environments.

This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do

Design and development of transmitters, receivers or excitersDesign of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signalsWork in a lab to accomplish component characterization as well as module verification and integrationTest and handle sensitive RF HardwareSchematic capture and RF routing Partner with interdisciplinary teams - power, digital, mechanical, etc.

                                                            

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following:RF design and fabricationRF test and troubleshootSimulation of RF productsExperience with any of the following tools:Mentor DX Designer or equivalentHigh Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) or equivalentSystemVue/Genesys or equivalentAdvanced Design System (ADS) or equivalentThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Mentorship or apprenticeship experience Technical oversight responsibilities for less-senior engineersWorking across domains on complex projectsArchitecting and requirements definition for complex RF productsTeam lead experience on technical projects including experience w/ cost and scheduleEVMS or CAM experienceAbility to prepare documentation with minimal oversightBackground in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints.  Includes yield and margin analysisTechnical background in the following areas:Cascade analysis and/or frequency planningFilter design and fabricationCircuit card assembly design and fabricationTesting or designing RF hybrid (chip and wire) technologiesHigh speed data converter test/characterizationHigh power RF design or test experienceScripting experience (Matlab or Python)Some front line leadership desirable

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
