Job Description

We are seeking a skilled RF Electronic Technician II to assemble and test basic RF measurement and motion control systems. This role involves preparing product compliance documentation, troubleshooting integrated controls and RF systems, and maintaining work instructions. Previous RF experience and complex mechanical assembly skills are required.

ResponsibilitiesAssemble and test a variety of products and systems.Test components and assemblies using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and handheld tools.Follow procedures for testing, calibration, and verification of standard products, in cooperation with System Engineers as required.Maintain equipment calibration.Diagnose and repair basic electronics assemblies, components, and boards.Ensure accurate documentation and measurement records of product parameters and process control performance.Assemble and test wire harnesses, cables, and subassemblies.Perform mechanical assembly as required.Assist and train other Electronic Technicians in assembly, troubleshooting, and repairing standard products.Read and interpret engineering drawings and rework parts to incorporate engineering changes.Assemble and install various electrical or electronic components based on schematics, blueprints, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions, or established operations practices.Use a wide variety of specialized hand tools such as solder irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.Set up and operate automatic and semiautomatic assembly equipment, as well as set up fixtures.Perform mechanical assembly of medium complexity items and mechanical troubleshooting or adjustments to meet performance specifications or tolerances.Perform soldering rework of either SMT or through-hole components.Travel up to 5% as required.Essential SkillsExperience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting RF/microwave products, systems, modules, and test equipment (ATE).Experience testing components and assemblies using Automated Test Equipment (ATE).Experience using Network Analyzers and Spectrum Analyzers.Experience in the aerospace, defense, and/or aviation industries.

Additional Skills & QualificationsSolid knowledge in electronics, including analog, power, digital, and RF, with some understanding of basic RF theory.Experience in following test instructions and procedures.Experience in RF/microwave component testing and characterization.Basic familiarity with RF/Microwave test benches/equipment (preferably >10GHz frequencies).Basic working knowledge of PNA, VNA, and ATE usage.Assembly and repair of through-hole and surface mount circuit boards.Knowledge of RF coax to component connection methods for SMA and K connectors, including proper RF torque wrench usage.Proficient in the use of electronics assembly tools, wiring, and electrical assembly tools.Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality processes is a plus.Work Environment

You will work closely with System and Manufacturing Engineers, utilizing a wide variety of specialized hand tools and assembly equipment. The role includes some travel, up to 5%. The team is looking to hire individuals who can grow into leadership roles. The work environment is collaborative, and you will be expected to follow established processes and procedures while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
