Job Description

We are seeking an RF Engineer for a contract-to-hire role in Englewood, CO.   In this role, you will be creating RF and electrical engineering hardware designs for products that pair with: cable, wireless, and satellite.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
 

Involved with scoping and implementing RF design projects.Provide timely status on progress of projects, priorities, and issues to managementPeer review of internal designs and OEM design proposalsMentor junior engineers on design projectsWork with RF designs that may involve MoCA, RF4CE, Bluetooth, WiFi, and other wireless networking technologies.Work with RF Designs that may use QPSK, 8PSK, QAM, 8VSB and other digital communication methods.Circuit design from specifications, part selection, schematic entry, layout, optimization, validation, to final mass production.Document designs and write test procedures and reportsIssue final approval with supporting documentation to management and document control groupsSupport internal groups such as other design groups, manufacturing, service and managementTravel domestically and internationally in order to support product development.

Qualifications

Skills And Experience

BSEE or equivalent experience5 - 10 years with documenting designs: schematic, bill of materials, test procedures, and validation data5 - 10 years in RF design from component level through system level5 - 10 years in use and knowledge of RF test equipment and methods5 - 10 years with hands-on component level RF circuit design experience
 

Preferred Qualifications

Use of equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, bit error rate testers, signal sources, modulators, and noise sourcesUse of RF Design Simulation tools, Genesys RF circuit and CST Electromagnetics, for design and concept evaluationsSatellite, cable, or off-air front end designs from tuner through demodulatorWi-Fi, Bluetooth, and ZigBee/RF4CE two way radio designsDVB-S, DVB-S2, 802.11 WiFi, Digital Cable, Bluetooth, and ZigBee standardsAntenna design and placement optimizations for singular, multiple, MIMO, internal or external, for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radiosUse of automated test environments such as Labview to support RF testing

Additional Information

This contract to hire role will be located in the south Denver area.  Work will be performed onsite/ in-person in the Englewood office.
