Rf Engineer
Job Title: RF Design Electrical Engineer Job Description Seeking an RF Design Electrical Engineer to join our team to lead highly complex RF/Microwave activities including research, design, development, and verification of RF system architecture and RF payload hardware to support Avionics and Space integrated communication systems. Design activities will involve the planning, design, development, testing, verification, and system operation of RF/Microwave electronic hardware. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Evaluate customer and program needs to define and coordinate RF performance requirements with internal stakeholders - Perform RF and high frequency/microwave detailed design, analysis, development, and testing of hardware including schematic capture, PCB layout review, and BOM development - Develop technical documentation such as design requirements, development plans, design reports, test plans, etc. - Execute work above to meet or exceed the established engineering and company process and procedures as well as best design guidelines - Provide clear communication of design and development approach or plans to technical peers, leads, and management - Complete high-quality work while keeping budget and schedule constraints on track - Support technical trade studies to drive tactical and strategic decisions for program leadership - Support the generation of proposals and RF system requirements - Provide analysis and technical review support during gate reviews and both internal and customer design reviews - Provide technical and estimation support such as basis of estimate development to proposals as directed by management - Timely execute work per directions from project engineer or program manager - Work across disciplines to ensure adoption of qualifiable designs with scalable manufacturing processes - Identify development risks and mitigation strategies - Continuously research industry trends to support roadmaps utilizing the latest technologies to increase RF system and sub-assembly capabilities, and lower the cost, size, weight, and power Hard Skills + 10 years experience with RF Design + Must be a US Person and eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance + Advanced knowledge of critical performance characteristics of passive and active RF components such as amplifiers, oscillators, attenuators, mixers, filters, etc. + Experience with design of RF components, including, power dividers, couplers, frequency converters, and power amplifiers Soft Skills + Clear communication + Technical peer collaboration + Management interaction + Risk identification and mitigation + Research and development Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Melbourne, Florida. Work Environment The role involves working with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure adoption of qualifiable designs with scalable manufacturing processes. The engineer will need to complete high-quality work while keeping budget and schedule constraints on track, and will require minimal supervision.
