RF Engineer

Summary: Seeking an experienced RF Engineer to lead project responsibilities, develop specifications, and perform RF design and simulation for military applications.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent scientific discipline with 9+ years of relevant experience or Master's Degree with 7+ years.

Strong knowledge of RF Electrical Engineering theories, concepts, principles, and processes.

Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance; active clearance preferred.

Experience with military power amplifier design operating in L-Band (1710 - 1855 MHz), S-Band (2200 - 2500 MHz), C-Band (4400 - 5850 MHz) frequencies.

Preferred Skills:

Proficiency in RF design and simulation tools such as AWR, Microwave Office, ADS LTSpice.

Familiarity with design tools like Siemens Mentor Graphics, Cadence, or Altium schematic capture and PC layout tools.

Prior experience meeting Department of Defense and military specifications, standards, and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead projects within larger program objectives for product/equipment/process design and development.

Develop detailed specifications, schematics, assembly drawings, and bill of materials for production.

Conduct RF computer simulations for power amplifiers across various frequency bands.

Implement DFM and DFT objectives in designs.

Prepare project requests with engineering work costs and product timetables.

Provide technical support for proposals through presentations and consultations.

Verify designs through lab testing using equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.

Plan and conduct experiments to evaluate product/process characteristics.

Perform typical RF design engineering functions including schematic design/capture and PCB layout supervision/review.

Recommend new design/analysis tools; provide training on these tools/methods.

Define process improvements; assist in engineering budget development.

Originate concepts leading to new products; review/approve completed design work.
