RF/Microwave Circuit Design Engineer

Description

The successful candidate will participate in the development and design of high-performance RF circuits, assemblies, and subsystems used in semiconductor characterization testing. Candidates should have knowledge and experience in the principles of RF circuit design including; impedance matching of transistor amplifiers, transmission line circuit development, stability techniques for FET and HBT amplifier implementation. Specific emphasis includes hands-on assistance in design, assembly, and test of multi-throw RF switches, variable-gain amplifiers (VGAs), solid-state power amplifiers (SSPAs), device-under-test (DUT) fixtures, multi-chip modules (MCMs), and RF subsystems including distribution networks, switch matrix networks, and multi-channel amplifier networks.

Knowledge of analog circuits for biasing, bias-protection, and regulation typically used in FET and HBT device implementation are also desirable.

Qualifications

The applicant must possess a minimum of a BSEE. 2 years of experience is desirable, but not required.

Specific experience with software tools such as Matlab, Microwave Office or equivalent computer aided design software used in RF/Microwave circuits is required.

Knowledge in the use of network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal sources, and RF power compression measurement instruments is also desired.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00
