SEG supports the US Navy and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) by performing trade studies, design prototyping, and analysis of radars, EO/IR sensors, RF seeker systems, electronic warfare systems, and weapon systems. For this position, we are seeking an experienced RF Seeker engineer to conduct trade studies, evaluate design alternatives, create seeker physical design, signal processing loops, tracking and discrimination loops, and RF sensor concept of operations to ultimately lead to a digital representation of the RF seeker for inclusion in deliverable simulations to our government customers and end-users. The engineer will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, supporting a team of engineers and software developers to design and develop simulation solutions, and demonstrating that capability to our government customers and other critical stakeholders.
What you will do...The candidate should be able to identify the RF critical design points to include sensor type, antenna size, antenna gimbal limits, gimbal slew rates, maximum transmitted power, transmit power demands, modes of operation and operating timelines, scan patterns and waveforms, operating frequencies, pulse repetition frequency, and signal processing chains and algorithms for detection, track, clutter mitigation, and electronic protection. The ideal candidate has 15 to 20 years of RF seeker systems engineering experience including RF seeker physical design, signal processing design and analyses, and seeker testing.
Skills you will need...Required Skills:
