Job Description
Take a leading technical role in the design and development of navigation aid systems and subsystems. Participate in design and requirements reviews. Write requirements documents for RF systems and circuits. Tune, test, develop, and document RF systems and circuitry in a lab environment. Design and develop receivers, synthesizers, and transmitters for microwave frequencies. Develop various RF circuitry including filters, power dividers, couplers, oscillators, low-noise amplifiers, mixers, PIN switches, and attenuators. Generate schematics, perform component placement, and support layout design. Analyze and develop systems concepts incorporating link budgets, statistical performance analysis, and thermal analysis. Generate engineering documentation including BOMs, schematics, RF system block diagrams, test procedures, technical memos, and test reports. Clearly explain concepts and implementations of products or solutions via technical writing and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
ResponsibilitiesPerform requirements analysis, definition, and management.Conduct functional, performance, and system design analyses.Carry out detailed trade studies, system integration, and test (verification and validation).Undertake technical planning, cost, and risk analyses.Support effectiveness analyses for subsystems and system elements.Analyze customer requirements, develop system requirements, and define allocations to lower levels.Perform detailed technical analyses for systems, subsystems, or system elements.Essential SkillsDegree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.10+ years of experience in RF systems design, testing, and analysis within SATCOM.Hands-on experience with RF component development and integration.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with PSPICE and similar simulation tools.Proficiency in MATLAB.Knowledge of AWR linear and nonlinear RF simulation.Experience with HFSS 3D electromagnetic simulator and Maxwell electrostatic and magnetostatics simulation.Familiarity with layout and schematic capture tools.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $80.00
