RF Test Technician

Our TTC Facility in Newtown is looking for an RF Test Technician!

We are a leading supplier of defense electronics, specializing in ruggedized systems designed to execute specific tasks in must-not-fail applications. 

 

Our RF Test Technicians are a critical to the success of these systems. As an RF Test Technician, you will apply established principles and procedures in performing alignment, troubleshooting and routine technical activities of RF products and microwave circuits.  This role is responsible for executing test plans, generating accurate test data, analyze test results, and making improvements to test procedures of over 50 client products.

Your Challenge:

Perform the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.

Determine and develop test specifications, methods, and procedures from a variety of blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.

Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems.

Analyze defective units to determine root cause of failure.

Complete rework on assemblies and/or systems because of testing, as required.

Assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.

What You Bring:

Demonstrated experience (2-3 years) using the following: 

Digital Multi-Meters, 

Oscilloscopes, 

Bench power supplies, 

Base band signal generators, 

Spectrum analyzers, 

Vector network analyzers, 

RF Power meters, 

RF signal generators, 

Bit Error Rate Testers.

Must be able to read test procedures, schematics, assembly drawings, interface control drawings, and other product related documentation.

Ability to solder under microscope, components down to 0402 size.

Microwave RF power amplifier tuning experience preferred.

IPC J-STD-001 soldering certification preferred.

Ability to handle multiple opportunities and meet strict deadlines.

High School or Equivalent required. Technical/Trade School Preferred
