Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding three (3) Rheumatologist to the group at Jacobi Medical Center and North Central Bronx Hospital. The hospitals are part of the NYC Health + Hospitals System (NYC H&H). Jacobi is a 457 bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein Medical College and supported by the Montefiore Medical Center Rheumatology fellows, to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Responsibilities Seeking a full-time clinician-educator rheumatologist to join our group at Jacobi and North Central Bronx Hospitals (NCB) in Bronx, NY.The service at Jacobi Medical Center (Jacobi) and North Central Bronx (NCB) are an academic practice sponsored by the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM) and supported by the Montefiore Medical Center Rheumatology FellowsBoth inpatient and outpatient care, clinical supervision of fellows, residents and medical students.Practice has 1,700 unique patients between the two hospitals, with 52 receiving routine Biologic Infusion TherapyThe practice has an active Lupus Clinic, Joint Pain Clinics, Ultrasound Evaluaiton and Treatment Clinics and Arthritis ClincsJacobi Inpatient service averages 7 consults per day, while NCB averages 3-5 a dayThe service is a Division of the Department of Medicine with 4 fulltime Rheumatologist and 100 fulltime medicine physicians and 156 medical residentsJacobi and NCB are teaching sites for the eight fellows at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM)-Montefiore Program

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

Board certification in Internal MedicineBoard certification or eligibility in Rhematology Possess or eligible for a New York State Medical LicenseAbility to speak Spanish highly desired Ultrasound training preferred, but not necessaryProficient use of Electronic Medical Record System (EMR), such as Epic.Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.High attention to detail. Ability to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines.Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize and multi-task in a deadline driven environment.Must be able to prioritize a variety of time sensitive tasks. Consistently display the highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy and discretion.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
