Attention all Optometry Technicians we are calling on you to work with us providing dental exams and treatment to our Military Service members.
We will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays in the State of Texas on an "as needed basis".
We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following:
U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)Army National Guard (ARNG)U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)Air National Guard (ANG)U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)This position will work directly with the patient, operate optical machinery, and interface with patient care software.
Working as an optometric technician can include the following duties:
Helping the optometrist with procedures and patient careTaking patient histories and maintaining the patient records systemAssisting patients to select a suitable frame for their glassesDemonstrating care and maintenance of lenses to patientsRepairing minor issues with broken and damaged eyeglassesKeeping the office organized and presentable, and making the exam room readyTesting visual acuity, depth perception, pressure and pupil reflexes Requirements 1+ years of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technicianExperience performing visual fields, OCTs, and Fundus Photography is requiredExperience with computers, including knowledge of and experience with word processing, database, and spreadsheet programsMust have own transportation for site travelingWith over three decades of experience, we are a trusted industry leader.
