This role involves monitoring ride operations, providing clear instructions to guests, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. The Dispatcher coordinates with other staff to manage ride capacity and resolve any operational issues or guest concerns. They are tasked with maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment by enforcing ride rules and performing regular inspections. The Ride Dispatcher must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, is required. What you will be doing: Manage Ride Operations: Oversee the flow of guests onto and off water slides and rides, ensuring efficient and orderly operation. Enforce Safety Protocols: Monitor adherence to safety rules and guidelines and address any safety concerns promptly. Provide Guest Instructions: Offer clear and courteous instructions to guests regarding ride procedures and safety measures. Coordinate with Team: Communicate with other ride staff to manage ride capacity, respond to issues, and ensure smooth operations. Monitor Ride Conditions: Conduct regular checks of riding equipment and the surrounding area to identify and report maintenance needs or malfunctions. Handle Guest Issues: Address and resolve any guest concerns or issues related to ride operations in a professional manner. Possess a thorough understanding of all Emergency Action Plan (EAP) procedures to effectively handle all emergencies that may occur in the facility. Assist in crowd control in the event of an emergency. Communicate with Human Resources on staffing needs. What you bring to the role: Strong ability to interact with guests, provide clear instructions, and handle inquiries or issues. Capability to monitor and manage ride operations effectively, ensuring guest safety and adherence to protocols. Ability to stand for long periods and manage the physical demands of the position. Clear and effective verbal communication to instruct guests and coordinate with other team members. Ability to quickly identify and address issues or malfunctions with the ride. Understanding of ride operations and safety procedures, with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting. Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
