ROW TECHNICIAN – INDIANAPOLIS, IN
We are actively hiring a ROW Technician to join a Right-of-Way team with a Civil Consulting firm in Indianapolis, IN. This person will be responsible for producing Plan Sets, Land Plats, Preliminary Property Line Calculations, and Title and Encumbrance Reports for the Design Staff to use on INDOT projects. Job Responsibilities
+ Complete the drafting required for the finished Right-of-Way product, while utilizing company and INDOT CAD Standards.
+ Create accurate Right-of-Way Drawings, including Plans, Parcel Plats, and LCRSPs according to Company, Client, or Regulatory Agency Standards, Methods, and Procedures.
+ Create Location Control Route Survey Plats (LCRSP) for review by Surveyor and coordinate the recording of the Certified Plat.
+ Use Civil 3D Modules to incorporate and annotate Civil 3D Design for Right-of-Way Drawings.
+ Plot Property Lines from Deeds when required.
+ Complete QA/QC of Right-of-Way drawings.
+ Research Land Records for Conveyance Documents and Encumbrances on properties adjoining Project Corridors.
Job Requirements:
+ 3+ Years of Experience utilizing Civil 3D in a Professional Setting
+ 3+ Years of Experience doing Survey Drafting in a Professional Setting
+ Working Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel for Project Information Tracking
+ Strong Verbal Communication Skills and Ability to Effectively Present Information
+ Will consider 0 Years of Experience for candidates with Degrees in Land Surveying
Miscellaneous:
+ Typical schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7am to 4:30pm EST; and Friday from 7am to 12noon EST (flexibility available).
+ Candidates will have the ability to work a Hybrid schedule with 2 WFH days after first 60-90 days (timing will depend on performance).
+ This is one of the most reputable Civil Consulting teams in Indiana, with a steady team and a great backlog of work (no company layoffs).
+ While this is a mid- to large-size Consulting firm, the office has a small-firm feel. This person will work with a team of 7 for the ROW projects, within a team of 15 people in the Survey department. This person will have the ability to learn highly marketable skills and a career path to becoming a ROW Engineer.
+ Multiple teammates have achieved 10+ years of industry and company experience, so candidate will learn from highly experienced professionals.
+ This team invests in team bonding for coworkers and their families outside of the office, including but not limited to Tailgates and Top Golf.
+ Target pay between $30-35/hour to start but is negotiable and flexible depending on specific candidate experience.
