Risk Advisory Consultant

Alert:24 is WTW Crisis Management’s in-house security risk advisory and crisis management client service. Our Crisis Support team are available 24/7 via 3 crisis support operations centres around the world to assist clients throughout the incident timeline. Our Risk Advisory team provide intelligence, consultancy, and training services across the security spectrum.  Our core lines of service are:

Active Assailant  Crisis Communications  Crisis Mangement  Kidnap & Extortion  Security Risk Management  Travel Risk Management 

The successful candidate will have notable expertise in one or more of Alert:24’s core lines of service and a proven record of delivering security risk consultancy and training to organizations. A significant proportion of the role will be delivering selected services to Alert:24’s North American clients. As an expert in their field, the Risk Advisory Consultant will be expected to develop existing and new services in their area of expertise as well as contributing to thought leadership and marketing.

The Role

To lead on the delivery of selected Risk Advisory services to North American clients. Liaise with the Risk Advisory consultants to coordinate service delivery on other Risk Advisory services to North American clients. To support the consultancy sales process using CRM sales-funnel, customer relationship engagement and close liaison with the sales, consultancy, insurance broking, and marketing teams  To maximise the renewable and profitable sales and delivery of consultancy and training services to our client base  To lead in the scoping, preparation and delivery of client commercial proposals for the portfolio of intelligence, consultancy and training services  Research and develop appropriate risk advisory/consultancy tools, resources, doctrine, standards, and accreditation to support service delivery  Resolve queries from clients, insurers and internal stakeholders  Support the improvement of, and compliance with, internal processes   Oversee the recording and maintenance of Risk Advisory income  Develop the pipeline and actively monitor and review in order to grow revenue   Work with colleagues in WTW to explore and develop new security risk products and services.  Deliver high levels of client calls and face-to-face meetings, coordinating risk advisory and broking expertise where appropriate.  Work with the marketing and risk advisory team to ensure consistency in the production of marketing documents and digital resources in support of risk advisory sales.  Identify, monitor and report on market trends and innovation.   Support and develop insights, webinars and thought leadership on relevant perils and industry trends 

The Requirements

Notable expertise in one or more of Alert:24’s core lines of service.8 years minimum experience in the international security risk-management sector: Experience of operational security risk-management in high-risk locations Experience of consultative sales, scoping, coordination and delivery High degree of self-discipline and commitment, the successful candidate will be able to identify priority activity to drive the team forward A clear and confident communicator who has effective report writing skills, with good attention to detail. Comfort and experience in managing clients through a sales and delivery cycle Proven track record of sales and business development in the corporate marketplace.Disciplined in recording sales data and targeting; retaining, updating and monitoring key sales metrics. Proven ability to decipher client requirements, determine appropriate solutions and effectively communicate the requirements to colleagues and consultants. Demonstrable ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.  Ability to multi-task with multiple stakeholders that have complex people/asset risk exposure Experience working internationally, with a proven ability to forge strong relationships with international clients and colleagues. IT proficiency and demonstrably excellent report-writing and presentation skills in MS-Office suite. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately to both internal and external stakeholders. Experience working with insurance security and medical crisis response services. Experience delivering security and crisis management consulting, training and intelligence services May require international travel, as appropriate Competency in Spanish, French or Mandarin as a second language an advantage Active involvement in a relevant industry association, such as ASIS, IRM, the Security Institute, GBTA, ISRM etc. Experience working within a leading security consulting, insurance or professional services firm
