Job Summary
Responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of an effective risk management framework and governance structure for APAC business and legal entities. This role involves collaborating with APAC ERM team in Malaysia to adopt best practices within the bank and the region, assisting in the execution of standardized ERM activities across the APAC region. This role also supports the CRO Asia and CRO Australia by ensuring compliance with ERM matters and promptly reporting any significant risk issues or concerns.Job Description
What is the opportunity?
The analyst is primarily responsible in driving, developing and implementing core ERM programs and targets to establish a robust and effective ERM model and framework for the APAC region. This ensures the seamless delivery of all regulatory, Enterprise, and regional ERM priorities.

What will you do?
Regulatory, Policies, Framework & Addendum Refresh
Prepare the roadmap draft in a timely manner for reviews.Prepare the draft document outlining the changes of addendum content against the Enterprise frameworks for initial review by team lead. Engage with relevant stakeholders on the draft addendum for enhancements/ updates/ changes for the year.Submit the respective addendums to the relevant OCs for approval and upload to Policy & Procedure Library (PPL) once OC approved.Operating Committee (OC) Report
Gather monthly updates from key Group Risk Management (GRM) personnel (e.g., AML, Regulatory Compliance Risk, Credit Risk (WM &Wholesale), Operational Risk, Market Counterparty Credit Risk and Environmental and Social Risks).Prepare the monthly OC reports (i.e. China OC, CM Governance, Hong Kong Branch OC, and Japan OC)Follow up with GRM stakeholders for section updates and content verification to the reports.Prepare report for reviews in a timely manner and escalate any issues to team manager.Liaise with the Office of the Chief Operating Officer (OCOO) APAC team on report submission on a monthly basis.GRM Operational Risk Intra-Group Arrangement (IGA)
Conduct an annual reassessment of the GRM Operational Risk Intra-Group Arrangement in Archer system.Assist the Supplier Risk Management Assessment (SRMA) engagement owner from GRM with necessary documentation, including monitor and upload the triage responses, risk assessment details in the Archer system as required.Validate contract documents (i.e., Service Agreement, Information Schedule) and ensure alignment with the GRM engagement owner’s perception regarding the outsourcing services.Liaise with the Enterprise SSC team to submit the IGA contract documents and request for e-signatures from service providers and recipients.Climate Risk Program
Provide monthly and quarterly operating committee (OC) reporting updates, as well as GRM Asia forum updates that highlight the current state of climate-related risks specific to the Asia region.Provide ad-hoc supports to facilitate the arrangement of climate -related reporting with working groups, GRM stakeholders, compliance and CROs.Attend in discussion meetings and document minutes, as needed.Project & Initiatives (P&I) reporting
Get in touch with GRM stakeholders for updates on existing/new GRM Asia deliverables and content/update verification.Acquire a general understanding of the GRM Asia deliverables status update to support meaningful email/forum discussion, challenges or review session.Ensure the P&I master sheet is up to date, followed by the preparation of the P&I deck on a monthly basis.Prepare report for CRO’s reviews in a timely manner.Prepare the GRM Asia Forum material on a monthly basis for reviews on items coming due in the next 90 days for deliberation with GRM stakeholders.Malaysia Success Initiatives
Participate in one of the local working groups (i.e., People Agenda Working, Risk Awareness Working Group, and Innovation Working Group) aimed at fostering a collaborative, engaged workplace and help achieve GRM strategic priorities.Complete mandatory training courses ensuring compliance with RBC internal requirements and participate additional learning programs to support skill development, career growth, and personal enrichment.What do you need to succeed?
