About the business unit 


The Advisory and Programme Delivery (APD) unit delivers management services in all the sectors that Mott MacDonald operate in the Built Environment, Defence, Energy, Water, Transportation and, Education, Health and Care. 

 

The Unit delivers services to projects ranging in scale and complexity up to £20bn, through the technical disciplines of Programme Management, Project Management, Project Controls, Scheduling, Cost Management, Estimating, Infrastructure Finance, Management Consulting, Digital Consulting and Education, Health and Care Management.

We are looking for an established Risk Analyst  who can hit the ground running and make an impact in implementing risk management procedures whilst working closely with all members of the project team to identify, assess, mitigate and monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle. in sectors such as Water, Defence, and Transport on some of the most exciting projects in the UK! 

 

As a Risk Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of unravelling complex challenges and utilizing cutting-edge methodologies to mitigate risks on large-scale construction projects in sectors such as Water, Defence, and Transport. What you will contribute to the team:

Managing the risk databaseUndertaking cost and schedule risk analysisAnalysing and reporting the likelihood of success for project schedules linking risk and uncertainty to the tasks to be undertakenFacilitating the escalation of information on risks to the appropriate levelsSupporting the knowledge sharing of risks and opportunities across the portfolio of projects ensuring that lessons are learntProducing risk reports on risk by using risk software


Required for the position of Risk Analyst; 

Due to such a large pipeline of work in the Specialist portfolio, it is essential that applicants in this role have a proven track record working as a Risk Analyst in an engineering environment. This can be working with a client, consultancy, or contractor in sectors such as highways, defence, energy, rail, aviation, water, environmental, oil, nuclear, and similar industries which see professionals working on construction projects. As a Risk professional we expect you to have:

 

Degree in a risk, project management, engineering, mathematics or related disciplines.Experience in the construction industry or project environmentGood IT skills including Microsoft Office package and Risk Management software (ARM, Predict, Primavera, Pertmaster, Safran, @Risk)Project Controls experienceExperience in schedule risk analysisKnowledge of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4

 

Preferred, but not required  

 

Industry recognised risk qualificationAbility to communicate effectively at all levelsAbility to work as part of a team or on your ownEffective time managementGood presentation skills – written and oralHigh attention to detail
