Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Risk Analyst to join a top bank in downtown Toronto for a 12 month contract with a high likelihood of extension. The role requires the consultant to be in-office 2 days a week in downtown Toronto. The successful individual for this role will have an energetic and warm personality. This person needs to be comfortable speaking in group settings, engaging in multiple daily meetings with leadership and juniors, and have an extrovert personality. They will be supporting the Market Risk team with day-to-day production, including data analysis, data validation, and calculations. The team works in a Python, SQL, and Excel heavy environment so knowledge and experience with these tools is required. The role requires previous experience in project management and/or as a scrum master to be the running point of meetings and day-to-day updates. Skills and Requirements - 2-3 years of experience in data analytics, preferably at a large financial institution or bank. - Experience as Project Manager and/or Scrum Master, including experience running meetings, providing daily updates, assigning tasks to juniors, and collaborating with leadership. - Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. - Basic experience and understanding of Python and SQL. - Experience and understanding of Excel for data analysis. - Experience in Market Risk and/or risk management. - Knowledge of Market Risk, such as interest rate risk, commodity risk, currency risk, and country risk. - Knowledge of Market Risk modeling, such as Value at Risk (VaR) modeling, risk budgeting, scenario limit, and stop-loss limit. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
