Risk and Modeling Analyst
Responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, developing financial based models, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. Works closely with various departments, including finance, risk management, credit, and executive leadership, to ensure the bank's financial stability and growth. + Develop and maintain financial models to analyze and forecast the bank's financial performance; Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial results with budgeted and forecasted figures. + Act as owner for the commercial credit data repository and workflow system. + Perform stress testing over various loan and credit portfolios. + Evaluate key financial metrics and ratios to assess the bank’s overall financial health. + Develop and evaluate profitability models for bank products and clients. + Collaborate with department heads to gather relevant financial information for budgeting purposes; Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts. + Regularly monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for corrective actions when necessary. + Assist in preparation and distribution of financial reports to internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities. + Identify and analyze trends in the banking industry, financial markets, and economic conditions that may impact the bank. + Provide insights and recommendations based on the analysis of market trends. + Undertake special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested. + Contribute to strategic initiatives by providing financial insights and support. + Conforms to General Performance Expectations as identified for all employees Qualifications/Requirements + BS or BA in finance, accounting, economics, or related field required; master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred + Minimum of 5 years related experience required + Strong analytical and quantitative skills + Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis tools + Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, applicable state and federal laws and banking regulations + Proficient interpersonal skills in dealing with clients and all levels of management; Strong presentation skills + Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Sageworks by Abrigo preferred Salary Range $81,000 to $134,820 annually Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, licenses or certifications obtained.
