Risk Competitive Intelligence Associate

As a Risk Competitive Intelligence Associate within the Risk Management and Strategic Analytics team, you will lead strategy analysis, identify emerging risks, and develop insightful reports. You will present findings to business partners and leaders, and make recommendations to mitigate risks. You will also explore 3rd party Competitor/Industry data to bring key insights into Industry/Market trends, and perform ad-hoc analysis to develop actionable insights.

Job Responsibilities: 

Focus on data promoten strategy analysis, identification of emerging risks, development of insightful reporting, and presenting findings to business partners and business leaders Own and lead analytics that provide a Risk point-of-view, make data-promoten recommendations to mitigate risks, and solve business issues that have a direct impact on the bottom-line Develop and monitor key-leading indicators of risk and detect, analyze, summarize, and escalate unexpected trends to senior management for Chase as well as Industry Explore 3rd party Competitor/Industry data to bring key insights into Industry/Market trends Perform ad-hoc analysis by extracting data, performing data manipulation and quality checks, and developing actionable insights via impactful presentations to peers and to senior management

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Good understanding of Credit Risk and providing risk point of view. Experience in data analytics with ability to carry out segmentation, data mining and evaluate time-series data Sound understanding of a data querying language or manipulation tool such as SAS, SQL, or Python Exposure to lending products with ability to identify and analyze segments of risk and recommending solutions to business problems Experience working with stakeholders – building trust through hard work and honest assessments of projects, strong communication, high emotional intelligence Working as part of a highly productive team, where culture and cooperation are critical for success. An undergraduate and/or graduate degree in a field such as (but not limited to) Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, MIS, IT, Economics, Risk Management, Analytics, Finance, or Accounting 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Alteryx and Tableau or similar tools is advantage Prior experience working with large relational databases is a plus Prior experience synthesizing large quantities of data using tools such as Teradata, ORACLE or Snowflake is a plus Prior experience working within a consumer bank, particularly within a risk or compliance function, or within the home lending line of business is a plus Knowledge of US Home Lending Industry is preferred Prior experience building and operating within a well-controlled data environment (following established procedures, recommending enhancements to controls) is a plus 3 years of experience within Risk Management, Data Analytics, or other quantitative field is preferred
