Job Description:At Regions, the Risk Credit Reporting Analyst assists in the analysis of the company's risk and prepares reports for management, detailing research into the company's exposure and suggesting strategies to minimize those risks.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepares monthly and quarterly credit reports and analytics for internal and external audiences including Regulatory Reporting SchedulesPerforms a second-level review and validation of key reports prepared by othersStrategically collaborates with business partners and technology teams in identifying risks and opportunities in the portfolio as well as addressing special requests with ad hoc reportingParticipates in working groups for bank-wide data enhancement and other various projectsAssists in the creation of presentations, job aids, training materials, and reporting tools, including SharePoint, and databases in collaboration with managersDesigns, develops, and reports independent analyses that provide greater insight into risk exposures and mitigation effortsCoordinates the compilation, data aggregation, and updating of enterprise-level financial risk metricsInteracts in a collaborative team environment and supports other roles on the team in their work effortsFocuses on resolution of problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processesMay collaborate with senior management in the development of team goals and objectives, ensuring consistent and satisfactory achievementOffers advice and guidance to junior analysts on occasion, assisting in the development of necessary skills and the promotion of continuous improvement initiativesThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or directly related fieldFour (4) years of experience in related fieldPreferences
Understanding of applicable databases and data structuresExperience with Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS), Structured Query Language (SQL), Power Business Intelligence (Power BI), or related database softwareSkills and Competencies
