The Risk Engineering Climate Specialist will contribute to RES Climate+ solutions targeting Climate Tech Underwriting and Climate Criteria Execution. Specific responsibilities will include: climate tech and decarbonization resource development for internal and external stakeholders; industry, academia and NGO alignment, including managing consulting relationships and vendor portfolios; liaise with Marketing and Communications to advance the RES Climate leadership brand; monitoring and identifying decarbonization frameworks and climate tech advancements for commercial sectors representative of Chubb’s property casualty insurance portfolio; deliver RES evaluations for climate criteria and climate tech opportunities.
This role will report into the Chubb Risk Engineering Services Center of Excellence (CRES CoE). Location for this role is flexible. Travel throughout North America to attend internal meetings and internal/external conferences, events, etc is anticipated.

Enable growth in Climate Tech by tracking, aggregating and analyzing technology- and sector-specific developments that will inform UW and Risk Engineering leaders Create internal platforms that enable these analyses to be targeted toward new Climate Tech business opportunities Develop client facing risk management resources reflecting developments in emerging and established Climate Tech sectors Transition intellectual capital from Risk Engineering Climate Tech and Climate Criteria reviews into learning content for risk engineering, underwriting, claims Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to promote RES Climate thought leadership Complete Climate Tech and Climate Criteria risk engineering reviews for underwriting Identify NGO’s, Industry Associations, Academia with climate initiatives aligned with Chubb Climate+ goals and objectives Establish frameworks for engagement with key NGO’s, Industry Associations, Academia with an established climate leadership presence in key high emitting sectors, considering guidance, frameworks, data Identify academic and industry organizations addressing emerging climate tech, to enable strategic scoping of commercial property casualty new business opportunities. Lead liaison relationships with these organizations Maintain existing climate hubs directed toward the Agricultural and Cement sectors.
