Risk Exception Specialist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION (SUMMARY, SCOPE, PURPOSE)
Responsible for gathering, tracking, and monitoring all insurance coverage exceptions related to client requests and carrier requirements. Review insurance documentation against coverage requirements outlined in appropriate regulation(s) and lender credit risk policy. Identify trending compliance and procedural issues, and work with the management team to develop the appropriate resolution(s). Duties include utilizing the tracking system, necessary logs, reports and applicable feedback to ensure effective risk mitigation transactions. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with management team to develop various internal carrier exception handling protocols. Compile and request necessary data for carrier exception handling. Collaborate with HFS Product Team on all aspects of carrier exception workflow(s). Brainstorm and implement regular improvements related to Mortgage Tracking Operational workflows. Contact lenders, insurance agents and borrowers as needed.Review incoming policies for compliance with appropriate regulations and lender credit risk policy.Join client calls to discuss review results as needed.Perform crisis management through prevention, resolution and mitigation.Record and track patterns or trends of service-related matters and report feedback to Manager.Identify and report areas of needed process improvement to immediate Manager. Report employee and account level performance stats regularly to management team. Maintain various monitoring reports and change logs to ensure critical transactions are processed timely and accurately. Accurately complete all assigned tasks and/or additional tasks if needed.Maintain a working knowledge and grow expertise in flood insurance and lending industry.Maintain at least minimum proficiency results for quality of work performed.Develop and maintain positive working relationships.
