Job Responsibilities:
COI Administration - Receive, review, and process COIs from vendors, contractors, and other third parties. Review COIs to verify coverage amounts, policy terms, endorsements, and other key details to meet organizational requirements. Work with Company’s third-party service provider to obtain missing or incomplete COI information, to maintain a centralized database or tracking system to manage the COI lifecycle, and to monitor policy expiration dates and send renewal reminders to third parties to prevent lapses in coverage. Collaborate with procurement, legal, and other departments to establish and update COI requirements and applicable contact information for third parties. Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to COIs. Stay informed of changes in insurance regulations and best practices that impact the COI program. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the COI administration process. Facilitate the issuance of COIs to external parties as requested, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Reporting and Analytics - Provide reports and analytics to management on the status of the COI program. Miscellaneous - Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Less than 2 years of related experience Associate's degree (Business, Risk Management, Insurance)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’ degree. Experience in a COI, risk management, or insurance administration role. Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in record-keeping and data entry. Proficient in the use of spreadsheets, databases, and other software tools to manage COI information. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal and external stakeholders. Working knowledge of commercial insurance policies and coverage types. Ability to interpret and apply insurance policy language and contractual requirements. Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) or similar certification.
