Risk Management Coordinator & Patient Liaison RN
Job Description

This is a full time, day shift M-F schedule , Risk Management Coordinator & Patient Liaison RN position supporting Northwest Medical Center.

What you will do:

Provide a standardized process to manage and resolve complaints and/or grievances received by the hospital.

Provide a process to review, investigate, and resolve a patient’s/patient representative’s complaint / grievance within a reasonable time frame.

Provide a process to determine the effectiveness of the complaint and/or grievance process through Quality Improvement monitoring to help identify, investigate and resolve any deeper, systemic problems indicated by the grievance.

Is knowledgeable of and able to meet standards and rules of The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies surrounding the complaints and grievance process.

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education: Required: Associates Degree, Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training.
Preferred: Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree.

Experience: Required: Three (3) years clinical experience 

Preferred: One (1) year recent (within past 5) experience in Performance Improvement and prior experience as an acute care RN with experience in a critical care setting.

Skills: Strong knowledge and understanding of the Joint Commission and other Regulatory agencies standards. Strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft word, excel and google suite. Ability to compose professional letters and communications. Requires effective communication and ability to resolve complaints and grievances. 

Ability to utilize systems to gather detailed data and report relevant analyses. Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.

Licenses/Certifications: Required: Current Compact State or Arizona RN licensure.
