Job Description Insight Global is looking to hire a Risk Manager for a power generation company located in Glastonbury, CT. The Risk Manager is a vital part of the Commercial Operations and Risk Management group. They provide support and guidance to EPC Project Execution teams in risk identification and mitigation. This role involves understanding contract scope, schedule, terms and conditions, and proactively identifying potential risks and opportunities. The Risk Manager also contributes to the proposal coordination/development process and ensures the incorporation of lessons learned. The ideal candidate will have a background in project management, have great communication skills, and will have at least 5 years of experience in executing risk assessment. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and update contract risk registers and summaries for stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. - Interpret contract terms and conditions for EPC Project Team Members and supporting functions. - Advise the Project Team on compliance to minimize execution risks. - Identify and track changes to scope for potential change orders. - Collaborate with EPC Project Manager to minimize revenue loss and scope creep. - Support EPC Project Manager and Legal with notifications and amendments. - Ensure timely communications with clients per contract terms. - Assist with resolution of sensitive client communications regarding claims, change orders, schedule adjustments, and compliance issues. - Collaborate with Procurement to include required flow downs in subcontracts. - Support proposal development by assessing potential project execution risks and recommending mitigation strategies. - Assist with turnover from project execution to aftermarket support phase, collaborating with Customer Service on potential warranty or other claims. - Engage in process improvement projects for efficient contract and project execution.
