ResponsibilitiesShawmut Design and Construction is looking for a Risk Manager. Do you have experience driving key priorities for risk management? Are you motivated when working on a team to solve business challenges? In this position you will partner nationally with business leadership to identify, mitigate, lead, communicate and drive accountability for the risks taken in our business.
Actively participate with the leadership and development of the strategic plan for risk management Provide decision-making weighing the consequences and risks around areas involving claims, financial issues, carrier issues, compliance, legal issues and sub performanceManage multi-line claims including SDI, GL, WC, Auto and Builders Risk claims and lossesIdentify, build and lead training initiatives while providing guidance and mentoring to the organization around specific risk management issues Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience required
• 10+ years’ experience managing claims and risk management exposure in a risky industry, preferably Construction
• Strong working knowledge of risk and claims management best practices.
• Solid insurance and liability knowledge required. Underwriting experience a plus!
