Risk Operations Analyst

Our Risk Operations Analyst is responsible for providing support to various Risk operations and claims support teams. This position will use a variety of data sources to provide analysis, robust financial modeling, and guidance to the leadership team to facilitate strategic decision making in reducing the total cost of risk and insurance program design. Deliverables may include claim summaries and incident analysis, loss trend analysis, and cost/benefit analysis to assist in evaluating business unit performance and overall enterprise claims performance. Other responsibilities include benchmarking, ad-hoc analysis, periodic reporting and administrative tasks as assigned. Capability to learn and apply continuous improvement tools for current state analytics and assessment are necessary as well as identification of best practices through quantifiable data analytics. Apply in minutes with a resume, even from your mobile! Responsibilities You Will... Establish weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPI metrics to track claims performance. (Examples include Workers’ Compensation, Auto Liability, and General Liability claims experience.) Develop monthly risk and operations dashboards to summarize and measure claims activity at a company, division, region and branch level. Dashboards and summaries will be provided to the field and the Safety department to assist in understanding the financial impact of claims and to develop plans to mitigate losses and provide safe operations Collaborate with vendors, home office departments, and field operations teams to provide actionable, data driven metrics to make decisions. Proactively provide loss analysis Provide loss summaries and triangles to actuary on a quarterly basis. Assist in interpreting data and identifying trends that will need to be shared with the various Divisional and other operational leaders Engage in various Risk Management workstreams including responsibilities for 1099 generation, AP check processing, Auto ID card administration and certificate of insurance issuance, software vendor administration, gathering and summarizing annual insurance renewal exposure and underwriting information, and other support as needed Respond to ad hoc requests from Divisions, Finance, Operations, Legal and Risk Management Other duties and projects as assigned The Benefits. . . Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI/Tableau required Intermediate coding or programming experience in SQL, Alteryx, C+, etc., is preferred Advanced knowledge of MS Office software, especially advanced Excel skills Basic accounting and finance skills. Risk and Insurance experience/knowledge is preferred but must have the willingness and ability to learn within those functions Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to summarize and articulate data in an easily digestible format for executive leadership Must be organized and work well in a team environment Physical Demands / Working Environment: We require the ability to pass a drug screen and background checks.
