The role
As a Risk Specialist you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will  support various Projects/Programmes within Marine Rosyth Portfolio, responsible for process and applications of Risk (Threat & Opportunity) Management across business winning and project delivery phases across P3M (including strategic portfolio risk management) while developing and maintaining good practices, processes and the governance of these areas. This role will report to the Marine Rosyth Risk Manager and work within established procedures and guidance and will support application of LFE within the risk discipline.
Day-to-day, you will:

Conduct and support the Risk Management process within Project/Programme environments. Implement and maintain the Project/Programme Risk Management plan(s), policies, procedures, process, and instructions. Support Risk Governance arrangements through the project lifecycle. Establish and maintain the Project Risk register(s) and guiding PMs on best practice through risk workshop facilitation and other engagement means. Deliver weekly/monthly updates to risk registers and mitigation actions within RiskHive. Analysis of risk data, and production of metrics and high-quality risk reports

 

This role is full time 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days based in office in Rosyth, 2 days working from home. 

 

Essential experience of the Risk Specialist 

Relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector Awareness of quantitative risk analysis methodologies and/or practical experience of risk modelling Practical experience of risk systems and tools Awareness of contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC/JCT)

 
Qualifications for the Risk Specialist

Project Fundamentals or Management Qualification (PFQ/PMQ) Project Planning and Controls – Foundation Management of Risk or APM Risk Level 1

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance for this role.
