Latin American country operations include Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru. About the role The Commercial Information Management team (CIM) at GM Financial operates on multiple fronts. First, the team is dedicated to helping decision makers navigate lending risks by providing insights on a wide-ranging variety of topics such as economics and performance trends across LAO markets. Second, the team manages the wholesale lifecycle on business borrowers by monitoring trends on customer behaviors, industry practices, and various other attributes related to the commercial portfolio. Third, the team is engaged in working with operations and IT to implement strategic initiatives that provide value to customers and efficiencies to the enterprise. Working in this environment requires attention to detail and accuracy due to the evolving nature of the auto industry and financial regulations. The CIM Representative will be responsible for developing reporting solutions (both analytical and data strategic oriented) and supporting the development and validation of models and forecasts to contribute to a better decision-making process. In this role you will work on commercial portfolio data implementation, data quality controls, financial and operational analysis, KPI tracking and data modelling. What you need Bachelor’s degree in fields such as: Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Actuary, Computer Science, Management Information Systems +1 year of relevant work experience in banking, financial services, data science or modelling (desirable). Experience in credit risk management for automotive finance or banking preferred. Required Analytics software capability – SAS / SQL Knowledge in PowerBI required or visualization tools English and Portuguese required– Spanish is a plus Data management and reporting: ability to translate business needs into useful information. Self-starter, with the ability to examine and analyze large data sets and highlight patterns, anomalies, relationships and trends Experience desirable in Data Infrastructure, data mining and excellent data analysis skills - Solid quantitative and data management skills Proficient in reviewing and understanding financial statements Knowledge in Microsoft office (excel and Power point ) Communication (verbal and written), presentation and project management. What you will be doing Utilize data mining and advanced spreadsheet skills to develop Portfolio Monitoring Analysis Creation, maintenance and monitoring of origination credit policies, procedures and lending stipulations through modeling Proactively monitor and report relevant changes in origination trends and portfolio performance Transforming data analysis into recommendations to the business senior management. Regulatory reserves calculation and support with audit or regulatory requirements. Support stakeholders on ad hoc request by leveraging data analysis and current reports using tools like SAS, SQL or Power BI.
