Risk Strategy and Operations, Assistant Vice President

The Risk Strategy and Operations, AVP will support the development and execution of risk management strategies, operational improvements, metrics reporting, and control processes within the First Line Risk and Control team. This position ensures day-to-day operations are aligned with organizational risk frameworks and supports senior leaders with reporting and process enhancements.

As Risk Strategy and Operations, Assistant Vice President, you will be

Key Responsibilities

Risk Identification and Monitoring: Assist in conducting risk and control self-assessments. Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and escalate potential issues. Support testing and validation of operational controls.

Metrics Development and Reporting: Collect and analyze data to generate performance metrics and risk reports. Prepare dashboards and summaries for business unit leaders.

Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in risk processes and recommend solutions. Assist in implementing process changes to strengthen the control environment.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business unit managers to ensure compliance with risk policies. Act as a liaison between risk teams and operational teams.

Operational Support: Support daily execution of risk frameworks and reporting schedules. Maintain documentation for risk and control activities.

Experience with a GTS tool such as Archer a plus.

Must be detail oriented.

Experience working in the financial industry preferred but not required.


Education & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in risk management, operations, or control roles.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $142,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
