Summary:
The Practice Manager is responsible to the Director for short and long-range planning, productivity and performance in this facility located 35 miles distant from the main campus of Riverside Medical Center. S/he is responsible for monitoring goals and financial performance, physician relationship building and collaborating with the Director, Oncology Serivces as well as other supporting departments and services at Riverside. The position requires an entrepreneurial person with exceptional interpersonal, relationship building, conflict management, and public relations intuition. The Manager works with the on-site oncology nurse, oversees technologists, clerical support staff and provides guidance wo the various physicians and their assistants who will rotate through the facility. S/he is responsible for insuring that all required positions are adequately staffed with qualified personnel, that they have the resources necessary to do their job and the job required by the patients in a safe and quality manner keeping in concert with the Riverside Mission. The Manager shall be the person responsible for adequate operation of the building and its environs, including but not limited to having adequate security, power, water, communication capability and that obstacles to patient safety, such as snow and ice are removed, that the building is cleaned daily and trash removed.

Responsibilities:
Achieves incremental volume/revenue increases from these sources: New Patients, New Physicians, New Specialties, and exams/office visits when compared to previous year.Active member of the community by attending outside programs, initiating and leading Riverside directed programs. Encourages physician involvement and staff involvement and staff participation in these activities.Actively works with and makes recommendations to the Marketing Department to help promote and raise awareness of the facility and the specialities offered.Daily supervision of the overall operation of the routine business and clinical functions through communication with clerical, clinical and professional staff and the specialty physician offices that this center will be supporting.Ensures all quality control, government, legal, required licenses and certifications and initialed and maintained. These include OSHA, CLIA, IEMA, Medicare and Insurance company, and regulatory agency requirements.Ensures exceptional customer service by continually analyzing feedback, timely resolution of issues, networking, and initiation or discontinuation of services.Insures appropriate use of resources both in the clinical setting as well as other public settings throughout the center. This not only includes supplies and materials, but utilities as well, insuring that wastage is held to a minimum.Monitors Kronos for timeliness and appropriate utilization of staff. Is responsible for counseling staff as necessary regarding timekeeping policies and procedures and providing performance feedback on annual performance evaluations.Monitors patient flow through the center to ensure appropriate utilization of physician and staff time and flexes staff as appropriate.Performs at least a daily walk through of the building to insure that the appearance is professional and clean and that everything is operating or that maintenance has been notified of anything that is not operating or not operating correctly and measures have been taken to prevent any injury to patient or staff.Provides reports including revenue, expense, PATOS, dashboard, monthly income statements, capital requests, budget review, and referral patterns, as required. Assists the Project Director in developing the annual operating and capital budgets.
