Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. The Ronald McDonald's House Charities (RMHC) system consists of over 260 chapters in 60+ countries and regions. The RMHC Communications team supports the global network by effectively communicating system wide key messaging and priorities.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a creative, collaborative, and proactive Internal and System Communications Manager to join the RMHC Global team. Reporting to the Director of Internal and System Communications, you will be a key member of the team, working in tandem with communications, field operations, marketing, learning and development and more.

You will shape and manage internal communications programs for Global team employees, Chapter leaders and the Global Board of Trustees. This role will support existing initiatives as well as lead the execution of new ones. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization to enhance internal communications and strengthen System-wide messaging to Chapters in support of the RMHC mission and priorities.

Job Description

The RMHC Internal and System Communications Manager will be responsible for establishing and executing an internal and System communications strategy.

Partner with the business to drive effective and efficient communications, through the development of internal communications strategiesAct as a trusted advisor on communications strategies and best practices for internal stakeholdersDrive proactive and reactive communication planning to clearly communicate organizational initiatives and projects to employees and the RMHC System that drive awareness, pride, and collaborationPlan, edit and write compelling content for a variety of internal communications mediums and System resourcesDraft messages, scripts, and PPT presentations for the Senior Leadership Team (Examples: Conference presentations, emails, System videos)Develop and support the communications strategy for the Global Board of TrusteesPartner with RMHC Global team members to ensure internal communications messages are integrated and consistent across all channels for the greatest impact and alignment with the RMHC strategic visionDevelop hierarchy and processes for internal communications messaging and vehiclesProvide meeting support for Global team meetings, System webinars, employee engagement initiatives and conferences to connect internal audiences to our priorities and purposeLiaise with RMHC Field Operations and Global PR/external communications to support crisis management and communication to internal stakeholdersMeasure and present the effectiveness of internal communication efforts through monitoring and analysis of performance metrics

The expected salary range for this role is $98,140 – $125,130 per year

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in communications, or related field7+ years of experience in communications management or relevant professional experience in internal communicationsNatural storyteller with excellent speaking, writing and editing skills; can easily simplify messages, show versatility as a communicator in adapting style for varied audiencesDetail-oriented with the ability to plan, schedule and prioritize; manage time effectively with competing and concurrent priorities while adhering to standards, timelines, effective communication, and collaborationDemonstrated ability to apply principles and practices globally, across cultures and borders, to enhance internal and system-wide communicationsAbility to influence, manage and collaborate with senior leadership, cross-functional teams and Chapter partnersExperience in Executive communicationsFlexibility to anticipate and respond to changes in strategic direction and operating practices and embrace ambiguity and continuous improvementA team player with a desire to collaborate as part of an integrated team, while also able to work independently with minimal directionA proactive and ready learner with an open, honest and respectful communications style and approachA strong relationship builder and solutions-focused problem solverEnergy and passion for the RMHC mission
