Position Purpose
RMHC uses its evidence base to quantifying System impact, focus growth plans, continue to advance understanding of family needs and experiences and facilitate alignment of programming to unmet needs. This role supports critical RMHC strategic priorities by managing RMHC collaboration with researchers and healthcare partners to gain deeper understanding of the social determinants of health on families using RMHC programs and helping to assess and evaluate the impact of RMHC programs on patient outcomes, caregivers, and the healthcare system. This role will also help to influence the expansion and adoption of family-centered care practices within national and local health systems and increase engagement of pediatric healthcare providers by supporting RMHC Chapter activities in family-centered care.
Principle Accountabilities
Reporting to the RMHC Director of Research & Insights, the RMHC Research Projects Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of RMHC Global research initiatives and resources on family-centered care (FCC). This role will also lend project management support to System data collection for annual and ad-hoc survey needs.
RMHC Research Management
Work closely with the RMHC Director of Research & Insights to manage RMHC research projects from start to finish: e.g. study design, System requirements and engagement processes, project deliverables, project meetings, reporting, and budget.Create and maintain a calendar of all RMHC research operations to assure timely completion and communication of projects: e.g., budget timeline, reporting due dates, Global team meetings, learning opportunities, research releases, and external comms.Work with the RMHC Learning & Development team to build an evidence-informed culture by translating research findings into practice through webinars and online trainings for RMHC staff.Preserve and enhance institutional knowledge by maintaining and disseminating research studies and related materials through the RMHC Resource Library, Flash Facts, and other internal channels.Work closely with the RMHC Director of Research & Insights and COO to plan and coordinate meetings with the RMHC Research and Data Advisory Council and ad hoc meetings hosted by the RMHC Global team.Liaise with RMHC research partners, RMHC Research and Data Advisory Council members, and internal collaborators on research project opportunities, updates, and translation of findings.Collaborate with the RMHC Development and grant making teams on proposal development, grants, and other donor and fundraising requests.Family-Centered Care (FCC) Knowledge Management
Oversee knowledge management and translation of RMHC evidence on family-centered care to enable understanding of RMHC theory of change and how to applies in practice.Support local implementation of RMHC Global FCC research and survey tools.Post FCC-related resources to the Resource Library and coordinate their dissemination via appropriate internal channels in collaboration with the RMHC Internal & System Communications and Learning & Development teams.Work with RMHC Field Operations to provide guidance and track local Chapter FCC activities.System Data Collection
Oversee the project management of the RMHC Annual Information & Outcomes Report (AIOR) in close collaboration with the RMHC Data Analyst and RMHC Technology team, including annual report and query updates, project timeline, translation of related materials, and dissemination.Work closely with the RMHC Director of Research & Insights and RMHC Data Analyst to ensure adequate data capture of System metrics.Conduct RADAR queries to inform RMHC strategic activities and metrics.Support development of ad hoc System survey needs in collaboration with RMHC Data Analyst and other functional teams; provide consultation and advice to Chapters as needed.Benefits eligible: Yes

The expected salary range for this role is $129,800 - $165,490 per year

Skills, Experience and Competencies
5+ years of project management experience with multi-site research or evaluation projects in public health and/or social services. Experience working with nonprofit sector and/or academic or clinical research institutions preferred.Strong understanding of data collection and evaluation methods; experience using large scale survey tools (e.g. Qualtrics) preferred.Experience synthesizing research and literature and offering key insights, organizing and translating data.Analytical approach to outcomes identification, measurement, and evaluation.Critical thinker with exceptional writing skills; data visualization experience a plus.Organized with strong project management skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Demonstrated experience communicating and working across teams in a matrixed environment. Must be able to present, discuss and translate complex data or technical information in a way that supports the understanding and needs of different types of audiences.Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
