The Role
The purpose of this role is to drive portfolio growth for digital services and manage the operations of the RMS Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply subject expertise in evaluating business operations and processes
Manage collaborations to enhance long-term customer relationships at all levels
Contribute towards the development of technical competence related to telemetry and RMS services
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to effectively understand business processes, and translate technical information into coherent business information
Clear and effective communications with customers that demonstrate the value proposition of the digital service offerings
Determine the processing methodologies to best transform data into usable business intelligence
Identify technical issues in data acquisition, processing, utilisation, assess and resolve any issues found
Generate and disseminate RMS reports to customers and relevant stakeholders for data insight purposes
Communicate the organization's direction to the team so everyone understands the vision and strategies and accepts their validity
Train, motivate and lead employees in order to optimize workplace productivity and promote professional growth
Comply with all aspects of the Sandvik Environment, Health and Safety Policy, and any reasonable instructions, procedures or systems of work which are given in the interest of providing safe work practices in the workplace and to eliminate environmental harm.
Your profile:
Grade 12 / equivalent qualification
Trade Certificate/National Diploma (NQF 6) in Mining/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Data analytics certificate (advantageous)
3 – 5 years of relevant work experience (preferably maintenance environment using trackless mechanized mining machinery)
1 -2 years of people management experience
Telemetry and analytics experience
Experience in technical report writing
Physical and medical ability to function in an underground mining environment
Highly analytical mindset
Highly developed time management and organizational skills
High level of initiative, drive and determination to achieve goals and targets set for customer satisfaction
Ability to communicate clearly at all levels
Ability to present data clearly
English proficiency
Computer literacy
Valid driver's license
