Position Description
Coordinates staffing and patient room assignments. Responsible for staffing decisions assuring that caregiver to patient ratios are appropriate for patient census and activity. Collaborates with supervisors to manage patient throughput assuring efficiency of admission and discharge. Capable of adhering to an overall patient placement strategy, and using critical thinking skills to modify as appropriate.
Position Requirements
REQUIRED:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. 2. Five (5) years nursing experience, with at least two (2) years in a leadership capacity. 3. Good written and oral communication skills. 4. Demonstrated knowledge of general nursing theory and practice, management principles and methods, and hospital policies and procedures.
PREFERRED:
1. B.S. degree in Nursing.
