Brookside Senior Living is hiring an RN, Director of Health Services to help lead our team!   Along with generous benefits we are offering a $10,000 Bonus!  We also offer an after-hours RN team that will triage calls evenings, weekends, nights and holidays so you can enjoy the work life balance you deserve.  In this role you will help lead our nursing team with caring for residents in our 64-bed independent, assisted living, and memory care community. You will oversee the nursing care given to clients by directing staff and implementing a therapeutic, individual care plan for each client.  In addition to a $5,000 bonus we offer an after-hours RN team that will triage calls evenings, weekends, nights and holidays so you can enjoy the work-life balance you deserve. 

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position.

Pay:  $89,000 to $94,000 /per year depending on experience

Director of Health Services (DHS) responsibilities:

Complete initial assessment of potential residents.Create and implement individual Care Plan and Service Plan for each resident.Ensure residents’ rights are protected and advocates on their behalf.Communicate with healthcare providers, county personnel and family regarding residents’ current needs and health status.Manage, educate, and train nursing staff.Take fiscal responsibility for setting and staying within budget for nursing and care-related areas.Monitor and maintains resident charts and progress notes.Oversee ordering, set up and administration of all medications.Fulfill staffing requirements for nursing department including hiring, evaluation and scheduling.Provide health and medication training to all nursing personnel as well as continued education and documents teaching and training assuring compliance with current regulations.Oversee and conduct supervision of nursing staff including employee guidance, coaching and discipline to maintain high standard of care and positive work environment.

Director of Health Services (DHS) skills and requirements:

Must hold and maintain a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota.Prior experience in home care preferred.Experience supervising staff preferred.Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, family members and staff while promoting a positive atmosphere in the nursing department.
