UPMC Western Maryland's High-Level Care team is excited to welcome caring and dedicated Professional Staff Nurses to our department! The High-Level Care Unit is a 28 bed step down unit specializing in trauma, strokes, peritoneal dialysis, and intermediate care. We are looking for full-time RNs to work 36 hours per week, including shifts every other weekend and holiday. New graduate nurses are welcome to apply! Eligible RNs may qualify for a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 with a two-year commitment! In this role, you’ll set high standards for patient care and take charge of nursing care with responsibility and accountability. You’ll use your judgment, communication, and teamwork skills to care for patients and their families. This position involves leadership, partnership, and supervision, and you’ll work closely with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and families to achieve the best outcomes. We’re looking for someone who is committed to the community and passionate about the nursing profession. Special Programs: Flexible shift options, including night and weekend shifts with premium pay, available for those with at least 6 months of nursing experience. Interested candidates should inform their recruiter during the interview process. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** + Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located. + CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. + Graduate nurses must have earned licensure within 120 days of graduation, or they will be terminated or demoted from the GN position, at the discretion of the BU. + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP) *Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.
