McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for RN, Protime Nurse for its Marshalltown Family Medicine office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include: Registered Nurses are given a physician directed protocol to manage patients on warfarin therapy when referred to the Protime Clinic.  Included in the protocol are an Anticoagulation Algorithm and a Dose Calculator.  The objective is to maintain the patient’s INR in their therapeutic range and in doing so decreasing adverse events.  The nurses that work in the Protime Clinic make clinical decisions based on their nursing judgment.  There are various tools and resources available to these nurses that can be used as needed to help guide their clinical decisions. Additional duties may include medication refills and medication prior authorizations. 

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Certification/License

Possession of a State Registered Nurse license.  Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers. 

Days: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday

Hours: 7:15 AM - 3:45 PM. 

Experience

One year experience in hospital or clinic.
