An RN in the Ambulatory Care Department is responsible for managing the admission process, overseeing phase 2 recovery, and handling the discharge of patients undergoing surgical, endoscopy, and outpatient procedures. Our team ensures that patients receive comprehensive care throughout their perioperative journey, from initial admission to safe discharge, working with a core team of RNs and PCAs. Ambulatory Care RNs are an integral part of our PeriOperative department.
The Registered Nurse is the basic level of professional nursing practice. She/he identifies and implements nursing interventions that have less predictable outcomes and evaluates the results of these interventions for a given patient population. A nurse at this level may be required to assume leadership responsibility.
