We are seeking an experienced critical care Registered Nurse (RN) to:
Provide virtual support from our eICU command center to patients of UW Health, Meriter, Monroe, Freeport, Richland, Platteville, Mauston, Sauk Prairie, Portage and Medford hospitals with acute illnesses as well as management of chronic conditions. Virtually round on an average of 35 patients per shift, admit patients, and respond to changing vital signs. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change while also collaboratively mentoring RNs at regional sites through the mentorship program. Work collaboratively with RNs, a nursing assistant and an intensivist each shift. Nurses on this team have an average of 20 years of ICU experience! Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred Work Experience Inpatient Units and Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory: Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
