The 1:1 School Registered Nurse (RN) oversees the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting. The School RN provides services in accordance with District and Amergis Healthcare’s philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
Minimum Requirements:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing One year of school nursing experience, preferred Pediatric experience, preferred Current CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age General CommentsStart Date: ASAP
Grade Level: High School
Caseload Details: 1:1 Nurse- Female student
Start/End Date: 8:30am
Start/End time: 3:30pm
Breaks paid/unpaid: 30 min unpaid break
Busing: No busing- straight to school assignment
Services: working 1:1 with a student who is quadriplegic, and has a gtube, also takes medication 2 times a day
Lifting will be required and student is 77lbs
Also recently had a hip dislocation, so lifting carefully will be important
