**Responsibilities**
Assess patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations. Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. Position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee will support the organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the hospital wide performance improvement plan.
+ Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
+ Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
+ Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
+ Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices
+ Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
+ Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside.
+ Recognizes limits of scope of practice, seeks multidisciplinary collaboration, utilizes appropriate resources, and follows chain of command.
+ Assumes accountability for decisions made.
+ Partners with others to affect change and generate outcomes through knowledge of the patient or situation.
**Qualifications**
**MINIMUM**
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
AZ RN license
American Heart Association BLS certification
**PREFERRED**
BSN
Professional certification in area of specialty
One year recent acute care experience
**Pay Range**
$45.78 - $45.78 /hour
