**Responsibilities**
**Role:**
Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, including but not limited to: performing comprehensive assessments (vital signs, pain assessment, medication reconciliation), developing and implementing individualized care plans with measurable goals, coordinating care with physicians and other healthcare professionals, evaluating patient response to interventions, and delegating appropriate tasks to certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and other members of the care team in accordance with established protocols. Utilizes electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently and accurately.
**What we do:**
The Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse focuses on post-operative care
We provide excellent patient experience by performing bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and leader rounding
We work collaboratively with the Surgical and Procedure teams, all levels of providers and other areas within St. Joseph Medical Center.
We inspire to work together with the patient to maintain pain control, set goals for the shift and start early ambulation for best outcomes
We specialize in wound care such as ostomies and negative pressure vascular, we place the lines, tubes and drains.

**Qualifications**
**Job Requirements**
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred
One year of related work experience is preferred
Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required
Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
**Pay Range**
$42.50 - $71.80 /hour
