Responsibilities

In keeping with the French Hospital Medical Center health care philosophy the Registered Nurse manages quality patient care through the nursing process. Coordinates plan of care with the health care team. Assumes leadership role for unit personnel to prepare and assist them with their responsibilities. Employees are responsible for completion of unit competency assessments annual safety review CPR and renewal of license by maintaining continuing education units as required by hospital policy.  In addition to these major responsibilities the Registered Nurse may be assigned other duties.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited RN program.Currently licensed by the State of California as a Registered Nurse.Current BLS certification.Current ACLS.CCU PNCC or CCRN.Ability to assess patients & deliver care according to specific needs of all age groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

One to two years Critical Care or Progressive Care (“Step Down”) Unit experience preferred.

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.  This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
