Job Details Responsibilities: Responsible for the delivery of evidence-based patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation; responsible and accountable for planning, delegating and coordinating the nursing care rendered to patients, including assessment, interdisciplinary planning, patient and family education and support and the appropriate assignment of patient care to staff while maintaining standards of care. Requirements: Current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience in Neurology preferred. Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures, regulatory codes, personnel and administrative policies required. Minimum of 2 years' experience as a RN required. Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience required ACLS and PALS preferred Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development through continuing education required Must possess the ability to function as part of a team Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification required from the American Heart Association Salary Range USD $52.14 - USD $71.51 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
