Position Summary

Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance.

HMC employees, Providers, Patients and Family, Visitors & Vendors

Reports to (position):

Nurse Director

Supervises (position(s):

Indirect supervision of Patient Care Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Nurse Intern, Unit Coordinator, Patient Safety Assistant

 Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Required:

All hires after September 1, 2020 are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in nursing.

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

Required:

None

Preferred:

One year of acute care nursing experience.


License, Registry or Certification:

Required:

Current NJ RN licensure. American Heart Association CPR, ACLS certification.

Preferred:

PCCN or related specialty certification.


Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

Required:

Complete Critical Care, Vents and stroke training within one year of hire. Basic arrhythmia Interpretation completed within 6 months of hire.
