Responsibilities
Registered Nurses (RNs) at our Arizona General Hospital provide compassionate, patient-centered care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal health outcomes. They assess patient conditions, develop individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, monitor progress, and educate patients and families. RNs play a crucial role in promoting health, preventing illness, and supporting patients through complex medical procedures. They are committed to maintaining high standards of care, adhering to hospital policies, and ensuring patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patientOrganizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patientDemonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issuesServes as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practicesDemonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate mannerDocuments the nursing care plan and incorporates the nursing process following the standard of care for patient care areaDocuments changes in patient condition and response to interventions within established timeframesConnects with and establish relationships with the patient and their family/caregivers using therapeutic communication skillsInvolves the patient and family/caregiver in desired outcomes in formulating the plan of careIdentifies and make suggestions for new and innovative ways to improve practice and process for how to deliver careDignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. Qualifications
Minimum:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact StateExcellent written and interpersonal communication skills.American Heart Association-issued BLS CardAmerican Heart Association-issued ACLS CardAmerican Heart Association-issued PALS Card Basic Computer Skills Advanced Cardiac Life Support (in monitored areas).Preferred:
BSN(2) years recent ED experience.
